NEW DATA: GOP Tax Framework Will Devastate Middle-Class Homeowners

You mean, ‘get over' the fact that the Ryan-McConnell tax framework will raise taxes on tens of millions of middle class households?  New data from Americans Against Double Taxation shows eliminating the state and local tax deduction will have devastating consequences for hard-working, middle class homeowners.

"This new data makes it crystal clear that many middle-class homeowners throughout the country will see their tax bills increase, often by thousands of dollars, if the SALT deduction is eliminated … If a goal of tax reform is to help the middle-class, eliminating or changing the SALT deduction, which is claimed by more hard-working taxpayers than any other provision, is the wrong way to go."

Republicans' tax framework is not tax reform, it's another GOP multi-trillion dollar giveaway to the wealthiest at the expense of the middle class and working Americans.

The American people deserve tax reform that puts the middle class first and promises not one penny in tax cuts for the wealthiest one percent.  Democrats stand ready to engage in real bipartisan tax reform that helps hard-working Americans in every corner of the country.
