Dear Colleague: Mitch McConnell's Assault on Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security & ACA

Dear Democratic Colleague,

The well-being and financial stability of America's working families is under assault.  The passage of the GOP tax scam for the rich has added $2 trillion to the national debt, and now Senator McConnell says that Medicare, Medicaid and Social Security are "the real drivers of debt" and that "the single biggest disappointment of my time in Congress has been our failure" to cut them.

As you know, Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security and the Affordable Care Act are on the ballot.  The personal and financial health of the American people is at stake in this election.

Republicans have voted again and again to repeal or undermine the Affordable Care Act, and to destroy the pre-existing condition benefit with its sabotage laced into their tax scam and in their cruel lawsuit in the courts.  Now, President Trump and House Republicans falsely claim that they support protections for people with pre-existing conditions.  Over 130 million Americans with pre-existing conditions are at risk, and they need to know the truth.

Our focus must continue to drive home our message of good health, economic growth, and integrity in government.  Democrats are For The People:

• Lowering health care costs and prescription drug prices;
• Increasing pay through strong economic growth by rebuilding America;
• Cleaning up corruption to make Washington work for the American people.
