Pelosi Announces Nomination of Cheri Bustos to Fill Steering and Policy Co-Chair Vacancy, Nominations for Steering and Policy Co-Chairs for the 117th Congress
Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi was informed today that Steering and Policy Committee Co-Chair Rosa DeLauro of Connecticut is stepping aside from this position to run for Chair of the Appropriations Committee. The Speaker thanked Congresswoman DeLauro for her longstanding service and leadership on this critical committee, which recommends committee assignments to the Democratic Caucus and discusses policy matters. The Speaker announced the nomination of Congresswoman Cheri Bustos of Illinois to serve as Co-Chair of the Steering and Policy Committee to fill this vacancy in the 116th Congress. The Speaker also announced the nominations of Congressman Eric Swalwell of California, Congresswoman Barbara Lee of California and Congresswoman Cheri Bustos to serve as the three Co-Chairs of the Steering and Policy Committee for the 117th Congress.
