Statement in Support of Net Neutrality CRA Resolution

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released this statement on the Congressional Review Act resolution, to be introduced by Congressman Mike Doyle, that would reverse the Federal Communications Commission ruling to end net neutrality:

"December's radical FCC vote to dismantle net neutrality has endangered the American entrepreneurship and freedom that are the envy of the world. Congress must act to reverse this destructive FCC ruling that steamrolled over a bipartisan, decades-long consensus and the will of the American people to undermine the fair playing field that is the heart of the internet. With Congressman Mike Doyle's vital resolution to stop the FCC's assault on net neutrality, House Democrats are working to prevent higher costs and fewer choices for American consumers.

"Americans are fighting on all fronts against the Trump Administration's anti-consumer, anti-competition agenda. This week, 21 state attorneys general filed suit against the FCC, joining consumer advocates, Internet users, small businesses and entrepreneurs. House Democrats urge Republicans to join us to fight to ensure that this resolution receives a vote on the House floor. Congress must respond to the will of the American people and restore these fundamental consumer protections.
