GOP District Papers Praise Biden Admin Funding for Local Projects that Republican Members Voted Against
From the Speaker's Press Office:
Local papers across the country are celebrating the Biden Administration's $14 billion Army Corps infrastructure investments announced last week. Made possible by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act, which House Republicans overwhelmingly opposed, these new federal investments in 500 projects across the country will improve infrastructure resilience, ease supply chain bottlenecks and create good-paying jobs for America's families.
Small town papers in GOP districts have been covering the investments in their communities nonstop. Let's hope when the 200 House Republicans who voted AGAINST these investments catch up with their hometown papers, they've come up with a less embarrassing strategy than taking credit for funding they voted against! We wish them luck in explaining their NO votes!
