January 30, 2018
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement after San Francisco Mayor Mark Farrell appointed County Clerk Catherine Stefani as the District Two Supervisor on the San Francisco Board of Supervisors:

"I am delighted to learn that Mayor Mark Farrell has appointed County Clerk Catherine Stefani to serve as Supervisor for District Two.  Catherine is the bold leader we need to represent my home district in City Hall.  She is a gun violence prevention leader, former prosecutor and dedicated public servant.  She has worked at City Hall since 2007, after serving San Jose Vice Mayor Cindy Chavez and California Assembly Speaker Herb Wesson.  Catherine, her husband Chris and children Dominic and Gigi are respected volunteers in our community.

"Catherine is a leader and attorney who has argued 25 jury trials, a spokesperson for Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America and a coalition builder who will bring the voices of District Two families to City Hall."
