Pelosi Announces Appointments to Committee on Appropriations

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Steering Committee has recommended to the Democratic Caucus that the following four Members be appointments to the House Committee on Appropriations.

The new Committee Members are:

• Congressman Pete Aguilar of California
• Congresswoman Katherine Clark of Massachusetts
• Congresswoman Grace Meng of New York
• Congressman Mark Pocan of Wisconsin

"While Republicans ransack America's investments in jobs, education and opportunity, Democrats on the Appropriations Committee will continue to champion the work of creating good-paying jobs for everyone, everywhere in our country, " Leader Pelosi said.  "The Democrats recommended for the Appropriations Committee will bring bold ideas and energy to our fight to secure the future of hard-working families."

The full Democratic Caucus is expected to consider these nominations next week.
