Pelosi Statement on December Jobs Report

Washington, D.C. – Speaker Nancy Pelosi issued the following statement on the December jobs report:

"Today's jobs report shows that the Biden Build Back Better economy is working. Under Democrats' leadership, America is getting back to work – with the largest calendar year drop in unemployment in history to 3.9 percent, a record 6.4 million jobs created, and growth years ahead of what was projected before the passage of the American Rescue Plan.

"Democrats will keep working to create good-paying jobs and lower families' costs – including through our Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, our strong action to unstick bottlenecks and bring production back to American shores and the Build Back Better Act, which will dramatically cut costs for the middle class.

"Congressional Democrats and President Biden will Build Back Better For The People: with more jobs, cut taxes and lower costs for all."
