Pelosi Names Shana Mansbach Deputy Communications Director and Joy Lee National Press Secretary
San Francisco – Speaker Nancy Pelosi announced today that she has named Shana Mansbach as her new Deputy Communications Director and Joy Lee as her National Press Secretary.
"Today, I am pleased to announce expanded roles for two trusted members of my communications team," said Speaker Pelosi. "Shana has played a critical role in articulating Democrats' For The People agenda and communicating the Congress's work to strengthen our democracy at home and defend our values abroad. Grounded in her experience in the State Department and the Speaker's Office, Shana will be a strong and effective communicator for House Democrats in this new role. Joy has been a deeply effective and experienced resource to me and the entire House Democratic Caucus, communicating with San Francisco press and executing complex events in the Capitol and across the country. In her broadened role as National Press Secretary, Joy will be an invaluable asset to the Caucus advancing the drumbeat of our agenda nationwide."
As Deputy Communications Director, Shana Mansbach will be primary spokesperson for issues relating to the Financial Services; Foreign Affairs; Science, Space & Technology; and Veterans' Affairs Committees.
