Pelosi Announces Armed Services Committee Appointments

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Steering committee has recommended to the Democratic Caucus that Congressman Tom O'Halleran of Arizona and Congressman Thomas Suozzi of New York be appointed to the House Armed Services Committee.  The Democratic Caucus approved the appointments this morning.

"Democrats on the House Armed Services Committee will continue to champion our brave women and men in uniform and ensure all military families have access to the resources and benefits they so justly deserve," said House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi. "Protecting our nation requires us to be strong and smart.  With Congressman Tom O'Halleran and Congressman Thomas Suozzi on this critical panel, Democrats will continue honoring our commitment to America's heroes and fulfilling our obligation to protect and defend the American people."
