Dear Colleague on American Rescue Plan Virtual Teach-In: Wednesday, April 7

Dear Democratic Colleague,

Earlier this month, thanks to the outstanding work of our Members and Chairs, President Biden signed the American Rescue Plan into law — ensuring that Help Is Here! In the less than three weeks since the enactment of this landmark relief package, we have made extraordinary strides to crush the virus and ease the economic crisis.

It is imperative that the American people know the progress that is being made to save their lives and livelihoods. To that end, we urge you to hold virtual "Teach-In" events in your districts to lift up the life-saving resources contained in the American Rescue Plan. The Teach-In will help people understand how they can benefit from the various provisions of the bill.

Each of our offices needs to be a resource to individuals, as well as to community-based organizations who can help communicate with our constituents. Again, the date is Wednesday, April 7.

Please register your Teach-In event HERE. We encourage you also to post about your event on social media using #AmericanRescuePlan and send press clips after the fact to DPCC@mail.house.gov so we can share and promote your good work. I call your attention to the materials in your Committee Work Period packet. Additional materials, including event suggestions, will be forthcoming from the DPCC.
