Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi joined Joy-Ann Reid on MSNBC's AM Joy this morning to reiterate her call for Chairman Nunes to recuse himself from investigating Trump-Russia ties and instead set up an outside, independent commission.

She also discussed the need for Republicans to stop their efforts to repeal the ACA and sabotage Americans' health care, and instead find bipartisan solutions to lower costs and improve health coverage for the American public.

Memorable moments from the interview are below.

On the Repeated Call for Chairman Nunes' Recusal:

"I think that he not only has lost all credibility, I think he's tarnished the office that he holds.  He's brought discredit to something that is a very, very serious position in the Congress"

"An appointment to the Intelligence Committee is a very serious responsibility.  It's about gathering intelligence to keep the American people safe.  It's about gathering intelligence to have force protection.  We don't want our men and women in uniform to go in harm's way. We want to avoid it at all costs. … We have a situation that has been so completely politicized.  And you know, what's very sad about it is it brings dishonor to the whole committee."

On Possible Immunity for General Flynn:

"It's far too early to be even talking about immunity.  You're talking about a person who has misrepresented the facts already to Congress. So what does he want immunity for?  For potentially lying to Congress, or what else?  He shouldn't have immunity.  If, at the end of the day, he's prosecuted, he wants to plea bargain, that's another story.  But he shouldn't have immunity."

On Trump-Russia Ties:

"I think that there should be some adults in the Republican Party who would say, 'Please, you bring dishonor to the office of the President by making it look like it's a personal acquisition of yours.'  No, it is a public responsibility.  Honor it."

"The American people have a right to know the truth.  Why is it that the Republicans want to hide the truth from the American people?  Let's all support and outside, independent, nonpartisan commission, so that we can look into this."

On the GOP's Health Care Failure:

"I think it was a victory for the American people.  It was a victory for their health care.  I think it was a victory for their democracy.  The American people spoke out in large numbers.  I give so much credit to our outside groups."

On Finding Solutions to Strengthen ACA:

"We have things to offer.  We know how we could update and improve the Affordable [Care Act].  But it would have to be in the absence of any thought of repeal.  So right now, it is resist repeal."

"We won a battle.  They're still at war on the Affordable Care Act.  Resist repeal.  Stop the sabotage of the bill.  Because they will try to defund the subsidies and the rest of that, which will raise premiums significantly and undermine the good health of the American people.  Resist repeal.  Stop the sabotage of the bill."
