Pelosi Sends Letter to Speaker Ryan Calling for Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to Brief Full House
Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi sent a letter to Speaker Ryan calling for full House briefing by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein. Rosenstein will brief all Senators on Thursday.
As Leader Pelosi writes, "This week, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to brief the full Senate on his knowledge of and his role in the firing of the FBI Director. Director Comey has also been invited to testify before the Senate, but not before the House. I hope that you will insist that Rosenstein brief and answer questions from the full House. I hope you will also insist that Director Comey be accountable to the House as well as the Senate in his presentation."

The Honorable Paul Ryan
Speaker of the House
H-232, United States Capitol
Washington, D.C. 20515
Dear Speaker Ryan,
In the days since the firing of Director Comey, there has been a distressing disparity of information being made available to the Senate but not to the House.
This week, Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein is expected to brief the full Senate on his knowledge of and his role in the firing of the FBI Director. Director Comey has also been invited to testify before the Senate, but not before the House.
I hope that you will insist that Rosenstein brief and answer questions from the full House. I hope you will also insist that Director Comey be accountable to the House as well as the Senate in his presentation.
The people's representatives on both sides of the Capitol must have the opportunity to hear from and interrogate the key figures in the FBI Director's firing. The American people deserve to know the truth.
Thank you for your attention to this matter.
best regards,
NANCY PELOSI
Democratic Leader
