Pelosi Statement on Republicans’ Rescissions Package

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi issued this statement following reports of a rescissions package that will attack children's health care:
"After exploding the deficit with the GOP Tax Scam's massive handouts to corporations and the top 1 percent, Republicans are trying to eliminate funding dedicated to children's health.
"These Republican rescissions show the hypocrisy of a GOP Congress that insists on tight budgets for children and families while handing enormous, unpaid-for giveaways to corporations and the wealthiest.
"The Republican rescissions are another cynical step in the raw deal Republicans are forcing on America's families. Democrats will continue to fight to give the American people A Better Deal, with Better Jobs, Better Wages and a Better Future for everyone."
