During Trump’s 'Workforce Development Week,’ It’s Worth Asking – Where Are The Jobs???
June 12, 2017
The Trump Administration's hollow theme this week is ‘Workforce Development.' That's rich, because five months into the Trump Administration, Republicans still have not put forward a single piece of legislation to create good-paying jobs or raise the wages of hard-working Americans.
Instead, Trump and House Republicans have pushed legislation that would cost jobs:
- The GOP Trumpcare bill could cost 8 million jobs.
- The Trump budget could cost 4 millionjobs.
- The Trump budget proposes a 40% cut to federal job training programs. President Trump, Ivanka Trump and Secretary Acosta will head to Wisconsin tomorrow where an estimated 34,000 residents would lose access to job training services.
President Trump, this is not a reality show. Where are the jobs you promised? Instead of the antics and weekly themes, it's time to put forward legislation that invests in creating jobs and growing wages for hard-working Americans.
