August 17, 2017
Washington, D.C. – House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that she has named Henry Connelly as her new Deputy Communications Director. Connelly, a native of Los Angeles, has served on Pelosi's press staff since 2013 and currently serves as Director of Speechwriting.
"Much of what we do in the Congress depends on having the ability to communicate the stakes of the decisions made in Washington to the American people," Pelosi said. "Henry has had tremendous success in the development and execution of how we accomplish that difficult task. In this new role, he will serve as a key messenger for House Democrats, carrying forward our pledge to offer A Better Deal for all Americans."
Before joining Pelosi's staff, Connelly served as a Legislative Assistant and Acting Communications Director for Rep. Janice Hahn of California. Connelly holds a bachelor's degree in international studies and political science from Yale University.
