Speaker Ryan Wants to 'Wake Up' America with More Tax Cuts for the Rich

Reality check: The Republican tax vision from Speaker Ryan is nothing but another tax cut for the wealthiest few on the backs of hard-working American families.

So the Speaker and House Republicans want America to ‘wake up' next year with a new GOP tax code that would:

• Blow a huge hole in the deficit – at least $3 trillion over the next ten years. 
• Hide the fact that the Bush tax cuts for the high-end did not create jobs and only increased the deficit. 
• Pave the way for cutting Medicare, Medicaid, Social Security, and the Affordable Care Act.
• Trigger a massive opportunity cost as well: These tax cuts would mean that critical domestic, job-creating investments such as infrastructure, education and job training aren't made, among other top priorities.

Democrats won't stand by and allow Speaker Ryan and Republican Congressional leaders to hurt American families with their partisan politics.  With A Better Deal, Democrats expand economic opportunities for everyone, everywhere with better jobs, better wages and a better future – promising "Not One Penny" in tax cuts for the top 1 percent.
