BREAKING: House Republicans Delay Plans to Offer ACA Alternative -- Again

After the Wall Street Journal reported this week that the Tea Party wing was growing impatiently, and notably, restless, on introducing an alternative to the Affordable Care Act, the Washington Post today confirmed that House Republicans have decided to postpone their obsession:

"…House Republicans are likely to delay plans to offer an alternative to Obamacare until after the elections; multiple Republican candidates are retreating from repeal; and that they are increasingly mouthing support for the law's general goals. Once again: There's no real policy space for a meaningful alternative…"  [5/30]

Americans overwhelmingly believe the law should remain – and want to move on from this debate.  After 52 votes to repeal or undermine the historic access to health insurance, patient protections and budget savings in the Affordable Care Act, and more than four years later, the House Republicans remain nowhere with a so-called alternative.
