Speaker Boehner and the House Republican Conference this week took another crack at undermining, dismantling and repealing the Affordable Care Act for the 59th and 60th time.  Here's what the Congressional Budget Office (CBO) had to tell them today about their obstructive and obsessive efforts:

National Journal – CBO: Repealing Obamacare Would Leave 19 Million Uninsured; Raise Federal Deficit

Associated Press – Report: Higher Deficits, More Uninsured If Health Law Tossed

Bloomberg – Ending Obamacare Would Cost $353 Billion Over Decade, CBO Says

MSNBC – Budget office tells Republicans what they don't want to hear

Business Insider – Repealing Obamacare would cost a lot

Vox – No matter how CBO scores it, Obamacare reduces the deficit

The Hill – Repealing ObamaCare would add $353 billion to deficits, CBO says

Rather than cheering for massive uninsured rates and skyrocketing deficits, this Republican Congress should be focusing on improving our nation's crumbling infrastructure; raising the minimum wage; and reauthorizing the job-creating Export-Import Bank which is set to expire in 4 legislative days due to Republican inaction.  GOP leaders should be working to make college more affordable and ensuring millions more gain quality, health care coverage.

As Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said:

The cost to the deficit would be surpassed only by the human toll of repeal.  Republicans would add over 20 million Americans to the ranks of the uninsured, and strip vital health protections from hundreds of millions of American families – shattering the newfound health security that has made a difference in the lives of so many families.  Republicans should look at the numbers and finally end their fixation with repealing this historic law.
