CNN/ORC Poll: Blame for DHS Shutdown Would Fall to GOP
February 17, 2015
With 11 days, including only 4 legislative days, until the Department of Homeland Security shuts down, a new CNN/ORC poll released this morning offers striking news for Congressional Republicans:
Blame for DHS shutdown would fall to GOP
Republicans in Congress would shoulder the blame for a shutdown at the Department of Homeland Security if they are unable to enact a new spending bill to keep the agency running, according to a new CNN/ORC poll. The survey finds 53% of Americans would blame the Republicans in Congress if the department must shut down...
A majority says a shutdown at DHS, even if it's just for a few days, would be a crisis or a major problem...
Mr. Speaker, we "certainly" hope you are listening. It's time to join Democrats in passing a clean DHS bill.
