…take a quick look at some of the essential issues Republicans failed to address for the American people:

  • They failed to pass comprehensive immigration reform in bipartisan fashion – even as 64 percent of Republicans want a fix to our broken system;
  • They failed to raise the minimum wage for millions of Americans;
  • They failed to help our students with the refinancing of their student loans and make education more affordable;
  • They failed to eliminate discrimination in the workplace by ignoring ENDA;
  • They failed to renew the expired unemployment benefits for over 4 million Americans who lost their jobs through no fault of their own;
  • They failed to reduce the nation's deficit, ignoring common sense solutions;
  • They failed to remove the influence of money in politics;
  • And, on top of failing to provide paid sick leave and child care, they failed to provide women with equal pay for equal work.

In all, they clearly have other priorities; and they deliberately failed to jumpstart the middle class – the backbone of our country's economy.
