Thompson Exposes TSA CheatingNovember 2, 2007 (WASHINGTON) -- Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Bennie G. Thompson (D-MS) sent a letter to both Edmund S. ("Kip") Hawley, Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security, Transportation Security Administration, and Richard L. Skinner, Inspector General, Department of Homeland Security regarding an email sent from TSA to airport security staff and Federal Security Directors which gave notice of impending security testing. As Chairman Thompson notes in the letters, if the email were sent during the testing period that the TSA reported on, it may have "compromised" that report. See the email below:
