House Democrats: Raising the Drumbeat for a Clean DHS Funding Bill

February 24, 2015
Blog Post
The Department of Homeland Security shuts down in four days, and House Republican Leaders are refusing to bring a clean bill to fully fund DHS to the floor.  While Speaker Boehner and Republican Leaders spend their time pandering to the anti-immigrant, radical right, House Democrats are fighting tooth and nail to protect the American people.

Every House Democrat has signed on as a cosponsor to H.R. 861 – clean legislation to fund the Department of Homeland Security.  If Speaker Boehner and House Republican leaders stopped putting the politics of right-wing radicals over the safety of American families and brought this bill to the floor today – it would pass.
