House GOP Leaders: Blind to Facts on Immigration

Earlier today, House Republicans in two separate committee hearings once again wasted taxpayer dollars – welcoming extremist witnesses who worked on Arizona's discriminatory SB 1070, demonizing President Obama's bold first step to fixing our broken immigration, and characterizing the move as:

"…unprecedented executive power grab…" –Rep. Michael McCaul

"driving full speed ahead to a constitutional crisis…"  –Rep. Bob Goodlatte

"a declaration of war against American workers…" –Rep. Lamar Smith

Unfortunately, Speaker Boehner and Tea Party Members are ignoring the fact that the President's move is overwhelmingly supported by nearly 70 percent of Americans, declared lawful by more than 130 legal scholars, applauded by U.S. Bishops, and strongly welcomed by editorials, mayors, and organizations across the country.

It's no surprise 76 percent of Americans now want Congressional Republicans to build upon the President's courageous steps and #PassABill!

Speaker Boehner, it's been over 520 days – how much longer should Americans have to wait?
