House Republican 'Plan' To 'Create Jobs' Raises the Deficit and Kills Jobs

It's clear the House Republican economic plan for the future is more of the "exact same" failed Bush-Republican policies that got us into this mess in the first place. Today, House Republican Leader John Boehner described the GOP 'plan' to create jobs:

"The first thing I would do is repeal Obamacare..."

Repealing the Affordable Care Act would increase the deficit by $143 billion over the next ten years and halt the creation of 4 million new small business and health care jobs...not to mention leaving 32 million Americans uninsured and continuing an unsustainable and broken health insurance system.

"Secondly, no cap and trade..."

Blocking clean energy legislation will prevent the creation of 1.7 million new jobs in the clean energy sector...and continue our nation's dangerous dependence on dirty and foreign oil and puts our environment and future at risk.

"Thirdly, not raise people's taxes..."

Continuing the Bush tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans would add $678 billion to the deficit...House Republicans unanimously opposed giving 98% of American working families a tax cut in the Recovery Act to create and save 3.5 million jobs.
