With businesses adding 267,000 jobs, today marks the 59th month of consecutive private sector job growth bringing the total to 11.8 million jobs – the longest uninterrupted period of private sector job creation in our history!

But many Americans are still looking for work and want us to move beyond same Republican ‘trickle down agenda' that destroyed our economy and only caters to the ultra-wealthy.  As Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi said: "The middle class are the real job creators in America.  For our economy to recover fully, we must expand the purchasing power of families and ensure that working men and women enjoy the bounty of their unprecedented productivity."  Now is the time to do more.  Now is the time for Speaker Boehner and House Republicans come together with Democrats to invest in our families and our future.
