Leader McCarthy Promises a More Dysfunctional House GOP

Shortly after announcing his bid to replace Speaker Boehner, GOP Leader Kevin McCarthy took to FOX News to make this vow to the American people: under his leadership, America can expect even worse Republican dysfunction, distraction and obstruction than they've already come to expect from the House GOP.

On the Ex-Im Bank, Leader McCarthy promised more job-killing radicalism:

"Ex-Im – that has failed now, and it should stay failed.  I fought hard [to shut down Ex-Im], and I'll continue to fight."

He promised to waste more taxpayer dollars playing politics with women's health:

"…You're going to see a select committee [on Planned Parenthood]."

And Leader McCarthy promised more Republican brinkmanship on issues like the debt ceiling:

"On the debt ceiling,what if we're able to get something…?"

Leader McCarthy: the last thing the American people deserve is House Republicans doubling down on dysfunction.
