NEW POLL: Americans Strongly Support Independent Probe of Russian Election Interference
April 24, 2017
Two months ago, White House spokesperson Sarah Huckabee Sanders claimed that investigating Trump-Russia ties is not something "that the American people care about."
"At some point, we get to a place where we've got to move on and start focusing on the things that the American people care about, and I don't think this is it."
Meanwhile, a new NBC News/WSJ poll shows nearly three-quarters of Americans overwhelmingly support having an outside, independent commission to investigate Russian interference in the 2016 election.
73% of American people say they prefer an independent, non-partisan probe, instead of Congress, to investigate Russians' meddling in the election.
It's time for House Republicans to do their jobs, heed the demands of the vast majority of Americans – and create an independent, bipartisan commission to expose the full truth of the Trump-Russia connection.
