No Bill, No Break
Ten days ago, a gruesome act of hate and terror in Orlando left our nation horrified, heartbroken and searching for answers.
Congress cannot hold another moment of silence – and we cannot leave Washington, D.C. – without taking action to prevent the next tragedy.
Today, House Democrats are carrying the voices of the American people forward to the People's House. We came together to standon the steps of the Capitol, and we are holding a sit-in on the Floor of the House – all to make a simple appeal to Speaker Ryan and House Republicans: No Bill, No Break.
Republicans should not leave Washington until they have ended their indefensible obstruction of the commonsense gun violence prevention legislation that is supported by the majority of Americans.
Sit or stand but we cannot be silent for victims of gun violence - we need to take action. #NoBillNoBreakpic.twitter.com/EvY2gno1DB

House Democrats will not back down until the Republican Congress gives the American people a vote on legislation to strengthen background checks and keep guns out of the hands of terrorists and criminals. Sit or stand, we cannot afford to remain silent. We must take action for the victims of gun violence.
