Pelosi Announces Additional Recommendations for Committee Assignments for Members

January 20, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced today that the House Democratic Steering and Policy Committee voted to recommend the following committee assignments for 17 Democratic Members of Congress.  The full Democratic Caucus will vote on the nominations tomorrow.

"The American people deserve a government that works for them on the issues that matter most to working families," Leader Pelosi said.  "When it comes to extending equality of opportunity to all people, these energetic and forward-looking Members of Congress will continue to fight for the values and priorities of the American people.  We have full faith that these champions of working people will bring the creativity and bold leadership needed to ensure Congress works for everyone, not just the wealthy and well-connected."

The Democratic Steering and Policy Committee will continue to meet in the coming weeks to recommend additional committee assignments.
