Pelosi Announces Appointments to the President’s Export Council

January 15, 2015
San Francisco – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced she has appointed Congressman Dan Kildee of Michigan and Congresswoman Suzan DelBene of Washington to the President's Export Council, the principal national advisory committee on international trade.

"Congressman Kildee and Congresswoman DelBene have proven themselves to be tenacious champions of American workers and tireless advocates of American exports and manufacturing," said Leader Pelosi. "On the President's Export Council, we know they will offer tough, focused and intelligent guidance on expanding our exports and growing the wages and opportunities of hard working American families."

The Council advises the President on policies and initiatives that improve U.S. trade performance; promote expanded exports; strengthen our economy on the global stage; and address trade-related challenges among the businesses, industrial, agricultural, labor and government communities.
