Pelosi Announces Democratic Cloakroom Staff Changes
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced Rosemary Keating and Latrice Powell as the new Assistant Managers of the Democratic Cloakroom. Keating served previously as House Floor Operations Clerk in the Cloakroom, and Powell joins from the Congressional Black Caucus, where she worked as Director of Operations and Member Services.
"In her time with the Congressional Black Caucus, Latrice Powell has developed a sterling reputation for excellence and ability. Rosemary Keating has always been a steadfast and knowledgeable presence in our Cloakroom," said Leader Pelosi. "We are very fortunate to have their skill and experience serving the Members of the Democratic Caucus."
Keating worked as House Floor Operations Clerk for two years, before which she served as U.S. House Page Supervisor, overseeing the House Page program until its close in 2011. A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania, with over 30 years of executive and management experience, Keating graduated from Lackawanna College.
Before her time with the Congressional Black Caucus, Powell worked for Congressman Bennie G. Thompson, and the non-profit organizations House of Ruth and Community Connections. A graduate of the University of Maryland, Powell also holds a master's degree in Counseling Psychology from Bowie State University.
