Pelosi Announces New Floor Director Keith Stern

Washington, D.C. – Today, Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi announced that Keith Stern will serve as Director of Floor Legislative Operations, replacing Jerry Hartz who departed the House of Representatives in September after 28 years of service.

"Keith Stern's deep parliamentary and legislative expertise will be a key asset to advancing Democratic priorities on the House Floor," said Leader Pelosi.  "Keith's 13 years of experience as Congressman McGovern's top Rules Committee advisor testify to his sharp strategic insight.  I'm pleased to welcome him to the Leader's Office as we work to advance the priorities of America's hard-working families."

Stern previously served as Chief of Staff and Rules Associate to Congressman James P. McGovern, and has worked in the House of Representatives since joining the office of Congresswoman Jane Harman in 1998.  He is a graduate of Allegheny College.
