Pelosi Appoints Additional Conferees to Highway Bill

November 18, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today named eight House Democratic Members to serve as conferees to negotiate the non-Transportation Committee provisions of the final highway package being negotiated between the House and the Senate.

"The Democratic conferees appointed today will serve as a strong compliment to the Democrats already championing a more robust investment in America's infrastructure," said Leader Pelosi. "These Democrats will bring strong values and deep expertise to bear on the vital non-transportation-related provisions of the Highway Bill package, as we work to complete the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank and pass a final bill that meets the needs of hard-working American families."

"A strong final Highway package will strengthen our communities, grow our economy and invest in the future of our country," Leader Pelosi continued.

The non-Transportation and Infrastructure Committee Democratic Conferees to the Highway Bill Conference Committee are:

• Congressman Sander Levin of Michigan

• Congressman Frank Pallone of New Jersey

• Congresswoman Maxine Waters of California

• Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren of California

• Congresswoman Loretta Sanchez of California

• Congressman Raúl Grijalva of Arizona

• Congresswoman Donna Edwards of Maryland
