Pelosi, Israel Name Rep. Dan Kildee to House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee
January 22, 2015
Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi and Congressman Steve Israel announced that Congressman Dan Kildee of Michigan has been named to the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee (DPCC), chaired by Israel. The committee is charged with developing Caucus-wide messaging that forcefully communicates where House Democrats stand, resonates with hardworking Americans, and presents a sharp contrast to House Republicans' special interest-first agenda.
"Dan Kildee is a champion in the Congress for working families," Leader Pelosi said. "He will head up our efforts in the House to ensure the drumbeat of our message is brought to the House Floor every day."
Rep. Kildee's role on the committee is specifically to manage day-to-day floor messaging and strategy for the DPCC. Last week, Pelosi and Israel named 15 other Members of the group.
"I'm pleased to welcome Rep. Kildee to the House Democratic Policy and Communications Committee," said Congressman Israel. "I am confident that his expertise and strong relationships with other Members will be a great addition to this talented group and help us effectively relay our message on the Floor."
