Pelosi and Reid: Congress Sends President Bush Bipartisan Children's Health Insurance Bill

Washington, D.C. --Speaker Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid issued the following statement this afternoon upon sending President Bush the Children's Health Insurance Program (CHIP) legislation:

'This afternoon, the Congress sent to President Bush a bipartisan bill to insure 10 million of our nation's children. It is our hope and the will of the American people that the President will sign the bill into law on behalf of the future. It is right for no less than 10 million reasons - our children.'
