Pelosi Statement on Immigration March in Washington

Washington, D.C. - Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement on today's march in Washington for comprehensive immigration reform:

"Today's immigration march reaffirms our commitment to fix our nation's broken immigration system.  As a country founded and sustained by immigrants, we must remain the land of hope, promise, and opportunity for all who wish to come to our shores and live the American dream.

"I applaud the Congressional Hispanic Caucus for their leadership, for their efforts to improve the lives of all Hispanic families, and for their unyielding advocacy on behalf of comprehensive immigration reform.

"Working with our colleagues in the House and Senate, and with the Obama Administration, we look forward to sending a bipartisan bill to the President's desk."
