Pelosi Statement on Congresswoman Gwen Graham’s Decision Not to Seek Re-Election

Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi today released this statement following the announcement that Congresswoman Gwen Graham of Florida will not seek re-election at the end of her term in 2016:

"Gwen has been a strong, independent voice for the people of Florida in the Congress.  Born into a family active in public service, Gwen strived to continue that legacy with dignity, grace, and courage.  From advocating for small businesses and better schools, Gwen has focused on bringing bigger paychecks and equality of opportunity to all.  We are grateful for her service to our country.
