Pelosi Statement on Shooting Death of Jovan Wilson

San Francisco – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement after Jovan Wilson, 15-year-old grandson of Congressman Danny K. Davis, was shot and killed in his home in Chicago:

"Paul and I were heartbroken by the terrible news of the shooting of Congressman Davis' grandson, Jovan Wilson.  It is an awful tragedy, yet another act of senseless gun violence that has claimed a beloved young man who should have had a whole life ahead of him.

"We extend our most heartfelt prayers and sympathies to Congressman Davis and Jovan's entire family during this dark time."
