Pelosi Statement on New Chairwoman of the Task Force on Election Reform and House Ethics Committee Members for the 114th Congress

Philadelphia – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi released the following statement announcing the Task Force on Election Reform Chair and Members that will serve on the House Ethics Committee in the 114th Congress:

"Americans expect a government that is honest, transparent and responsive.  We are proud that Congresswoman Donna Edwards will continue Congressman John Larson's efforts on the Task Force on Election Reform to build a better politics that strengthens citizens' faith in the institution of Congress.

"The American people also expect elected officials to work as hard as they do – and honor their call to serve with honesty and integrity.  Our Members will strive to ensure that the values of our Caucus will be upheld through their efforts on the House Ethics Committee.

"Under the continued leadership of Ranking Member Linda Sánchez, I am confident that House Democrats will continue to uphold the highest ethical standards of the House and ensure the American people are represented by leaders that are worthy of their trust."
