Washington, D.C. - Speaker Nancy Pelosi released the following statement today honoring our troops as the nation prepares to celebrate Thanksgiving:

'On Thanksgiving Day, we show our gratitude for the bounty of America's harvest, the blessings of American liberty, and the beauty of Americans' generosity.

'Let every family keep our military men and women and their families foremost in their thoughts. As we enjoy the comforts of loved ones and the traditions of the day, remember those who serve around the globe, many in combat, and pray that they may soon return safely home.'
