House Democrats called on Speaker Boehner and the GOP to cancel next week's recess and stay in session to address America's top priorities.  House Republicans refused – choosing to run the clock out on the economy instead of working round-the-clock to create jobs, promote growth, and strengthen the middle class.  Here's a suggested playlist for House Republicans as they make the trip home:

Leaving on a Jet Plane – John Denver & Cass Elliot

Working for the Weekend – Loverboy

Bang on the Drum All Day – Todd Rundgren

Summertime – Will Smith (DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince)

The Lazy Song – Bruno Mars

Fun, Fun, Fun – Pharrell Williams

Good Times – Chic

Summer Wind – Frank Sinatra

Vacation – The Go-Gos

All Around the World – Red Hot Chili Peppers

Roam – the B-52s

On the Road Again – Willie Nelson with Sheryl Crow

Bonus Track!

In light of the GOP's continued obstruction on the Paycheck Fairness Act – legislation that ensures equal pay for equal work regardless of gender:

She Works Hard for the Money – Donna Summer
