Republican Gov. Mitch Daniels: Congressional Republicans Have Done 'Not Too Darn Much'
Don't be so modest, Governor Daniels. Congressional Republicans have been working hard, voting:
Againstcreating jobs and helping the middle class dig out of the Bush/GOP recessionAgainst closing tax loopholes that encourage corporations to ship good-paying American jobs overseas
Against tax cuts for 98 percent of American workers
Against protecting Americans from the recklessness of Wall Street executives
Against tax incentives and lending to small businesses that would create 450,000-500,000 new American jobs, as well as almost all of the eight small business tax cuts that have already been enacted into law
Instead, the Republicans are saying yes to their extreme agenda:
Yes to extending the Bush Tax cuts for the wealthiest few that will add $700 billion to the deficitYes to privatizing and cutting Social Security for America's seniors
Yes to dismantling Medicare for America's seniors
Yes to Recovery Act job-creation funds and health reform grants that they voted against
