Republican Senator: GOP to Blame if DHS Shuts Down

With only five days left until the Department of Homeland Security shuts down on a Republican-led Congress' watch, this morning on Fox & Friends, Republican Senator Lindsey Graham reiterated what he said yesterday:

"…for God's sake, don't shut down the premier homeland security defense line called the Department of Homeland Security.  If we do, as Republicans, we'll get blamed."  [2/23/15]

Sen. Lindsey Graham said Sunday the U.S. is facing more terrorist threats than ever and defunding the Department of Homeland Security would be the worst possible thing to do...If Republicans fail to fund DHS, he said, they'll get blamed as a party.

House Republicans' dangerous dysfunction and isolation is deepening.  Mr. Speaker, polls indicate that an overwhelming majority of Americans would blame the Republican-led Congress should DHS shut down.  It's time to stop threatening Americans' safety and join Democrats in passing a clean DHS bill.
