Republican Senator Marco Rubio on House GOP Zika Proposal: ‘That's just not going to cut it’

Former Republican Presidential candidate Marco Rubio blasted the House Republican Conference's Zika funding proposal.  From The Hill:

Rubio…said…that he was "really concerned about the direction of the House funding proposal."

"Quite frankly, that's just not going to cut it," he added.  "I believe the House can and should do better than what is proposed..."

We couldn't agree more.

Today, over 1,200 Americans – including more than 110 pregnant women – are already infected with Zika.  And yet, Speaker Ryan and House Republicans are telling American communities desperate for help to make do with less than a third of what America's top public health officials say is needed, and President Obama and House Democrats requested, to protect America's families.
