Small Businesses Agree: Time to #RaiseTheWage

A new poll conducted by the American Sustainable Business Council and Business for a Fair Minimum Wage reveals great news: 61 percent of small businesses strongly support raising the nation's minimum wage to $10.10!

58% of small business employers say that raising the minimum wage would increase consumer purchasing power in the economy.

56% of small business employers say raising the minimum wage would help the economy.

Small business support for raising the federal minimum wage is strong across the United States. Respondents favor raising the minimum wage to $10.10 by a 67% majority in the Northeast, 61% in the Midwest, 60% in the West and 58% in the South.

House Democrats have a bill to #RaiseTheWage, with 195 Members signed onto a petition demanding a vote on the legislation.  It's time for Republicans to listen to the massive number of Americans and overwhelming majority of businesses calling for an increase in the minimum wage.  It's time for them to act.
