With only a few days of session left before the Republican House again heads out on recess, check out what some Members of the House Republican Conference have had to say about the Ex-Im Bank:

  • Rep. Charles Boustany: "Ex-Im must be reauthorized for small business to succeed"
  • Rep. Chris Collins: "I know it works. And it's all about jobs and the economy…This isn't a government handout."
  • Rep. Gregg Harper: The Bank provides "certainty and stability" for American companies.
  • Rep. Dave Reichert: Calls failing to renew the Ex-Im bank a "concern."
  • Rep. Tom Reed: "To unilaterally kill the Export-Import Bank would be a huge hit to the competitiveness of American companies.."
  • Rep. Adam Kinzinger: "If the U.S. decides not to reauthorize the Ex-Im bank, it is tantamount to unilateral disarmament in the global economy…"
  • Rep. Peter King: "I think we go too far to just say we're going to end it…"
  • Rep. David Valadao: "I believe it is important to ensure our small businesses have the tools and resources needed to be successful in our global economy."
  • Rep. Pat Tiberi: "The bank helps encourage exports and gives businesses the resources they need to expand and create jobs."
  • Rep. Charlie Dent: "I never thought in my wildest dreams that the reauthorization of the Export-Import Bank could become a defining issue for Republicans…"
  • Rep. Aaron Schock: "For us to kill or get rid of the Ex-Im Bank unilaterally is paramount to unilateral disarmament…"
  • Rep. Vicky Hartzler: "…it helps American companies be competitive and it actually helps a lot of businesses in my district as well."
  • Rep. Chris Collins: "Without Ex-Im, exporters in the U.S. would be severely disadvantaged internationally… Those opposed to Ex-Im reauthorization are fighting for an ideal system the international market will not accept."
  • Rep. John Campbell: "Opting to unilaterally shut the Bank down would not only put many American businesses at an immediate disadvantage overseas, it would result in a shockwave of uncertainty in the marketplace that would dramatically hurt our economy."

Speaker Boehner, Leader McCarthy – it's time to get serious, end this shockwave of uncertainty and pass a long-term extension of the Ex-Im Bank.
