Speaker Boehner: Refuses to Remove Shutdown off Table

Speaker Boehner deliberately refuses to remove the irresponsible threat of a government shutdown off the table.

Remember when Speaker Boehner last year in September 2013 said "our goal is not to shut down the government" because it wasn't in the GOP "interest?"  It's laughable, we know because that's exactly what the Republicans ended up doing:

• Shut down the government for 16 days;
• Cost $24 billion to the U.S. economy and 120,000 jobs to Americans;
• Americans and editorials blamed Speaker Boehner and Republicans for shutting down the government;

Poll after poll solely placed the blame on the obstructionist GOP.
