Speaker Boehner Under Steve King & Extremists’ Control
Compares them to "lazy dogs[and]livestock"
Believes they should be electrified as a method of "discouragement" from coming into the U.S.
Wants to callously "bus [DREAMers] back to Tijuana"
Claims they "developed ‘cantaloupe'-sized calves as drug mules"
Characterizes them as "deportable…"
Considers immigration raids as the "right direction" in order to prevent a "slow-motion terrorist attack"
Must we say more? You get the picture. That is why in the 113th Congress, Speaker Boehner and House Republicans repeatedly blocked overwhelmingly-supported immigration reform legislation while continuously – and symbolically – passing measures to deport families and our nation's DREAMers. That is why in their second week of the 114th Congress, Speaker Boehner and House Republicans passed mean-spirited legislation to tear families apart, deport children, and hold essential funding for our national security hostage. That is why early this week, the Republican response to President Obama's State of the Union address deceitfully mentioned ‘immigration' in Spanish only. And that is why next week, Republicans will be voting on the radical $10 billion border boondoggle.
On common-sense, bipartisan immigration reform, don't count on the GOP when they say they'll take up such a measure because Rep. Steve King and the anti-immigrant fringes of their Party hold the gavel and set the immigration agenda.
