Washington, D.C. – Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi held a photo opportunity ahead of a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.  Below is a transcript of the meet and greet.  

Leader Pelosi.  Mr. Prime Minister, welcome to the Capitol.  Lovely to see you.  My pleasure.

Prime Minister Trudeau.  Thank you very much.  It's an incredible pleasure to be here in this extraordinary institution.  It's a place where so much gets done, and so much of what's done here has an impact on Canada, whether they realize it or not.  So, I'm glad to highlight the importance of our friendship and the integration of our economies.

Leader Pelosi.  It's an honor to welcome you, Prime Minister, to the Capitol.  Our Members are very eager to meet with him.  We thank you.
